Dr Julian Handley MD FRCP Consultant Dermatologist

Zimbabwe born Dr Handley undertook his undergraduate medical training at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, qualifying in 1984. He trained in Dermatology within Northern Ireland and obtained his Medical Doctorate thesis from the University of London in 1992. He was appointed Consultant Dermatologist based at the Ulster Hospital in Belfast in 1994. He undertook further training in both skin and laser surgery at both the University of California, San Francisco and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1996.

He was appointed to the positions of both Head of Dermatology, and Head of Northern Ireland Regional Skin Laser Centre, at the Ulster Hospital in 1998. Dr Handley is a member of both the British and Irish Association of Dermatologists. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and Edinburgh. He specialises in general, surgical, laser and cosmetic dermatology. Dr Handley retired from the NHS practice from 1st January 2020 to continue in full time private practice.
