Bloomfield Laser Clinic – Covid 19 update- 15th October 2020

With regard to the new NI Covid 19 restrictions from Friday 16th October 2020:

1. The clinic as a registered medical facility is exempt and open as normal for consultation and all treatments

2. As a registered medical facility the clinic strictly follows NI Public Health Covid infection control guidelines with a view to maximising safety of all our patients and staff

3. We thank you for your co-operation and ongoing support at this difficult time.




We greatly appreciate your co-operation with the Covid 19 Safety measures we have put in place since our re-opening in June 2020. Our priority, first and foremost, is to keep patients and staff safe. We thank you in advance for your understanding. Our contact phone number for entry is:

With a view to minimising risk to both patients and staff, we have instituted the following measures four our patients in accordance with PUBLIC HEALTH INFECTION CONTROL GUIDELINES.


If you have symptoms of sore throat , cough or temperature ,loss of taste or smell, or have been in contact with a Covid 19 infected individual within 2 weeks prior to your appointment , please phone the office to cancel your appointment as soon as possible and we will be happy to rearrange for you.


1.When you arrive for your appointment please phone Clinic Reception to inform them of your arrival – 02891 275737  and then wait in your car and wait until you receive  a further call from  Reception asking you to come in . Should you arrive in a taxi, the same protocol applies – Please remain in your taxi until called for entry.

2.Only the patient and no one else should come into the clinic. (A maximum of one accompanying adult is permitted and only if this is an essential requirement  that the patient needs to  be supported  for duration of appointment)

3.On entering, you will be asked some routine screening questions, have your temperature checked and your hands sanitised. We would expect you to bring a mask, wear it at all times for the duration of your stay in the clinic.  In the event of you not being able to wear a mask for any reason, you must notify the clinic in advance of your appointment so that we can make alternative arrangements.  

4.You will be admitted directly to the Treatment Room to see the relevant Doctor or Nurse on entering the clinic.

5.When your appointment or treatment has finished, you should then pay for your treatment / arrange any subsequent appointment at reception and then leave the clinic using our One -Way System. There is a Bin provided at Front Exit should your mask be disposable and Hand Sanitiser available for your use.  We would respectfully ask that you then leave the clinic directly.

6.Payment by cards only. Please note that this will be contactless – the receptionist will take your card details from you verbally and then issue receipt. We do not store card details.  This system is to minimise contact on card machine, thus minimising risk of cross infection. Please only use cheques and cash as an alternative and only if essential

7. In the event that you do not own a mobile phone or if your phone battery is flat, please walk round to the rear door of the clinic – please do not enter if door is open, please press the buzzer and wait for the receptionist to answer and then explain your situation. You will be asked to return to your car and will be physically called into the clinic by the receptionist when safe to do so.
